Sheperd Residence

The final project for Design in the Built Environment A (IAD 200) is to create a new design residential home, not to exceed 3000 sq ft, but constricted to one floor. The client would like a gourmet kitchen, office that doubles as a guest bedroom and 3 bedrooms including a master suite. They would like to allow as much of the sun and city in, however would like a quiet, private home on a very busy street of San Francisco.

Concept Statement: Bridging the Indoors and Out: The sea, the parks and the sun. bridging the gap of the beauty outdoors by inspiring a natural indoors. The Shepherd family is looking for their forever home that the kids can grow up in, they can enjoy the amazing views of the city all within the privacy of their centralized home.
